For sale is a 1998 Southwestern Industries (SWI) TRAK DPM 3-Axis CNC Bed Mill. This is a highly rigid toolroom machine featuring a heavy-duty 40-taper spindle and a Torque-Rite power drawbar—a massive step up in performance and rigidity over standard R8 knee mills.
This machine is being sold As-Is, Straight Off the Shop Floor. While it shows significant cosmetic wear and flaking paint, the control boots up cleanly. This is an excellent project or value purchase for a job shop, maintenance department, or prototype garage looking for a heavy-duty bed mill at a wholesale price.
Upgraded & Serviced Electronics
The machine features a ProtoTRAK SM Auto Geometry Engine control. Crucially, the pendant was replaced with a factory-rebuilt unit directly from Southwestern Industries (Part No. 22328-3R, dated 8/1/2022). This ensures a bright, clear LCD screen and reliable computer architecture.
