Item Description:
Up for sale is a vintage Multi Systems Inc. (MSI) MM5000 7-Axis Articulated Tube Measuring System. This unit was pulled from a long-term storage where it has sat unused for a number of years. It was last certified/calibrated in 2013 by CMM Technology Inc.
Because it has been in storage and we are unable to power on the vintage HP laptop, the entire system is being sold As-Is, Untested for Parts or Refurbishment. This is an excellent opportunity for a fabrication shop looking for a legacy restoration project, or a metrology rebuilder looking to harvest highly sought-after spare parts.
What is Included in this Sale:
- MSI MM5000 Articulating Arm: 7-axis carbon/aluminum tube inspection arm (Serial # 1320, Model MM5000). Joints move smoothly.
- Modular Probe Kit: Yellow plastic storage case containing 5 modular measurement probes (including a ruby-tipped touch probe and specialized tube ball probes) and two accessory tins with magnetic/mechanical mounting blocks.
- Calibration Master Bar: Original insulated metal reference bar used for machine accuracy checks.
- Heavy-Duty Workstation Table: Dedicated shop rolling workstation with custom arm mount, hardware drawers, and built-in computer shelving.
- HP Compaq nx9010 Laptop: Included as-is (untested/will not power on).
Condition Notes:
Physical condition of the hardware, arm, and probes is excellent with normal cosmetic shop wear. No visible cracks or damage to the carbon fibers or articulated joints. Laptop is missing its power brick and is completely untested.
